That mainly music is offered to families going through difficult times. Our mobile mainly music team run music sessions at centres where mums and their children are receiving help.

I have certainly noticed the children especially warming to me this month. David is a young boy who sits on his mum’s lap during the session but doesn’t participate unless it is in a destructive manner! The children all line up for a stamp on their hand when I arrive but never David. Last week I had a break through. He watched from a distance all the other children getting their stamps. I was able to get close to him and ask if he would like one too. He didn’t answer but shyly pulled up his sleeve and edged his hand to me for his stamp. This assisted a slight change in his attitude. He engaged with songs that have props!

UPDATE: David participated in most of the session today. And this is brought great enjoyment to his mum. Little steps – big impact.
