mainly music
What is mainly music?
mainly music is a weekly session for pēpi and young tamariki (toddlers, pre-schoolers) and their mātua or carers.
It’s a relaxed, friendly space where you and your tamaiti can enjoy musical activities together, while also meeting other local whānau.
Sessions are designed especially for young tamariki and mātua who care for them. You don’t need any musical ability.

What happens at a session?
Each session usually includes
• Around 30 minutes of music time, with simple waiata, actions, musical activity and movement that little ones love
• Play time and kai, giving tamariki space to explore and mātua time to kōrero
• A warm, welcoming atmosphere where whānau can join in at their own pace
There’s no pressure to perform or 'get it right'. Many whānau find mainly music becomes a gentle and joyful part of their weekly routine.
