Sing and sign on-line mainly music
mainly music welcomes whānau with disabled tamariki to our on-line Sing and Sign mainly music group. You'll smile when you realise that, even through on-line engagement, you'll find community, inclusion, and belonging.
Sessions use Makaton sign language, PODD card imagery and are modified to suit children with disabilities, with repetition, some songs with no musical accompaniment so they can be sung at any pace, and sessions are structured to provide a familiar format. It is a space where tamariki will feel welcomed and included no matter their challenges. The benefit of on-line sessions is that you don't have the pressure of leaving your home to attend. Please encourage able-bodied siblings to participate.
Through the generosity of funders, there is no cost to attend.
Sessions happen online Wednesdays from 11-11.30am during school terms.
After placing this 'product' in the cart and 'buying it', download the information document, which provides a link to the on-line registration system. This way, we capture all details of your whānau and ensure we send through communication in preparation for the sessions.
If you live in Auckland, 'Sing and Sign mainly music for disabled children' happens in-person on Mondays at Elevate Onehunga, Auckland. Contact Kathryn 028 418 5033 to find out more.
